There was a legend the natives once spoke of: The dogs made of silver tigers, the brilliant monstrous hounds that took down the mighty bear Akakabuto, the four-legged masters of light and a brightness. The legend says they were born of stars. That they were thrust from the heavens to earth anytime their powers were needed, and the mark of their heritage in the sky was their Tora-ge coat coloration. And it is said that, in return for these saviors, these heroes, gifted from above, that dog, man's best friend, agreed to protect the birthplace of all stars: a shrine called Sutakousei. From its dark and rocky depths, whole galaxies were said to have sprung like water from a geyser. But now, the shrine has run dry, its divinity now used for something else. Something wonderful, something magical. Something. But no one, not even the guardian dogs who protect the shrine for eternity, know what that something is. It could be an object that grants its wielder amazing strength and majesty. It could be a simple mass of supernatural power, hidden there by God himself. It could be the spirit of the great brown bear Akakabuto, waiting for someone to foolishly stumble along and release it unto this world once again. No one really knows. But whoever finds out will likely become the most powerful dog in all of Japan. Care to quench your curiosity?Ginga Denkiteki Omaesan, just as its name suggests, is a Ginga-universe sort of role-play. Meaning, it is based on the same setting, locations and generalized plot occurrences as seen in the popular anime series Ginga Densetsu Weed and its predecessor Ginga Nagareboshi Gin. However, in all honesty, GDO is nothing short of a wild/stray dog role-play. Though the anime are supplied for your viewing pleasure should you wish to enjoy them, it is not required or even necessary to have seen a single anime episode to partake in the site's many festivities. All the canon characters are long gone, the plot and forum set up geared toward the creation of a completely new, all original Ginga legend based entirely on what you and other members want. Ginga experience is an optional accessory. Beyond being a very laid-back community, GDO features an extensive art and imagery center, as well as massive areas for character development and building. So if you're looking for a dog rp forum full of people dedicated to rping and their characters, as opposed to one of these small trashy sites where people go through characters like toilet paper, this will surely end your search. We currently have initiated a diverse and very intricate plotline, involving one (but soon to be two) packs of wild dogs. One, the Shrine dogs, are good and peaceful, protecting the shrine as they have been for years. The other is similar to Hougen's army: a massive collection of power hungry dogs interested in obtaining the magic contained within the shrine. The army has not been put together just yet, we plan to let the site and plot both build up a little. But that also means that the position of army leader has yet to be filled. The Shrine dogs also have high ranks that need to be filled. So come, write your own legend: Ginga Denkiteki Omaesan
