the unforgivable mistake ,
Things never seem to go well for Edward and Bella, it is as though fate has them on a hit list of sorts. Just when it seemed as though everything would go according to plan for once, the people who the Cullens thought were finally allies turned against them. Renesmee was born and Bella was in the process of changing into a vampire to save her life, this is when the pack struck. Sam had devised a plan to kill whatever it was that Bella had been pregnant with and wouldn't back down from it, the creature was thought to be a danger to everyone. Jacob reluctantly went along with the plan to kill the Cullen's child on one condition, the pack had to spare Bella; this is why they waited until after Renesmee was born to act. When the Cullens had their guard down, most of them concentrating on saving Bella and only Rose with the baby, the pack struck. Killing the infant the only way they knew to kill vampires. This devastated the Cullens and broke what they had finally thought to be a bound of friendship with the pack and Bella was in the process of changing, with no knowledge that the person she thought to be her best friend had just taken part in the murder of her daughter. Edward's first reaction was to fight, as was Rosalie's. The wolves had crossed the line and taken something precious from the Cullens, in the process they broke their own treaty that they had been trying so hard to protect in the first place. The Cullens weren't the only ones affected by the death of Renesmee. The pack had acted so fast that it had all seemed like a blur and in that blur, Jacob had caught sight of her and imprinted. The pack had killed the perfect match for Jacob, the only soul mate in the world that was completely designed for him, the person that he would have flew to the moon for. She was gone now and there was nothing left Jacob could do, he knew that he would never find anyone that he would be capable as loving the same way as the child he had only seen for seconds.[/blockquote]
the aftermath ,
As soon as Bella's change was complete, the family was forced to leave Forks behind. They were on the brink of the fight of the century with the wolves, this would surpass the fight with the newborns months before because the wolves actually knew the fight tactics the Cullens had. Carlisle reasoned with everyone and it was decided that they would leave immediately because the last thing they wanted was to lose another member of their family at the hands of the murders in La Push. It took a lot to comfort Bella, to make her realize that the life she had nearly given up her own for had been taken by what used to be her best friend. An angry newborn was never good, so the family had to use all they could to restrain her with her new strength and leave Forks. As they left Bella, Edward, and Rosalie had silently swore eternal vengeance to the wolves. In La Push, Jacob couldn't handle life. The unwritten code between the brothers was that they were never to harm the object of another's imprinting and the pack had done just that. Of course it had all happened so fast and they were all in combat mode, but that still didn't prevent Jacob from being bitter. In turn he broke away from the pack, finally deciding to take the alpha position that he was entitled to by blood and disappeared out of sight for years.[/blockquote]
the return of the injured ,
It has been a little over a hundred years since the death of Renesmee. In that time Edward and Bella along with the rest of the Cullens have done their fair share of grieving. It took Bella awhile to gain control of herself, especially with all of her anger from the events that occurred while she was being changed. Once Edward was satisfied with her state of mind, the two of them ventured off on their own for a good twenty years. They traveled around the world and experienced things that Bella would have never imagined. Though the couple was happy there was still that gaping hole that they had to cope with and Bella found that vampires don't get over things as easily as humans. The rest of the family found that another hybrid existed, and that would have been what Renesmee would have turned out to be like had she have been given the chance to live. Edward and Bella eventually returned to the rest of the Cullens and moved from town to town pretending to be human with them. Eventually their travels lead them back to Washington to a small town named Hoquiam. Carlisle found work at Seattle Grace hospital and the wolves found that they had come back, as Hoquiam is only thirty minutes away from the reservation and Forks, the town that is filled with so many painful memories from the past. Will the wolves and the Cullens make amends or will the fight of the century break out right under the noses of unsuspecting humans?[/blockquote]
